Our open dates tend to fill up fast, so try to schedule your session as early as possible. Since we are usually busy with weddings on weekends, if it is in the summer months, we prefer to shoot engagement sessions Monday through Friday evenings, starting a few hours before sunset. Remember if you want to use your photos for your programs, invitations, Save the Date cards, or guestbook, you'll need to do your session as early as possible! Try to avoid the hottest and coldest months of the year though. Shooting in mid-June or mid-January isn't usually the best idea. Fall and spring sessions are the BEST!

Engagement sessions are FUN! They are laid back and relaxed and are all about us getting to know you as a couple and you getting to know us as photographers. Sessions are up to 3 hours and mainly consist of us putting you in a great spot with perfect light and then you being yourselves, acting silly or being snuggly. We don't do a lot of posing, but will help you out a little, so don't worry too much about "not knowing what to do." Everybody usually starts out feeling a bit self-conscious, but by the end of the session, you'll feel like a natural!

We always tell our clients to stick to your own personal style, but maybe rev it up a notch. If you like color, wear something BOLD! If you love patterns and accessories, go for it! If you are a jeans and t-shirt kind of couple, wears jeans, but maybe throw a fun pair of boots or high heels in the mix and pick out the cutest t-shirt you can find. For guys throw a tie on with your jeans and t-shirt, for something different. Hats are always fun and we love it when people bring props. Do you guys love to travel? Bring along some vintage suitcases! Love to go see cheesy movies? Bring some 3D glasses! Have fun and remember to just be yourself!

Absolutely! One outfit change is usually no problem (as long as you don't mind changing in the car sometimes!) but anything more than one change we might not have time for. Feel free to bring extras though, and if we have time that is great! We will see what we can work in!

Your photos will be posted online within two - four weeks of your engagement session. We will send you a link to a password-protected gallery that you can forward to all of your friends and family! We will also select a few of our favorites and post them on our photography blog and facebook. If you are our friend on facebook (if not we can always add you!) we will tag you in them, for you to use are your profile picture too!

Guestbooks are custom designed and printed. They require at least 3 weeks to be designed and printed, so do not wait until the last minute! If you decide to purchase one, let us know as soon as possible.
